About

Here are some frequently asked questions which will tell you more about me and my photography:

When did you start photography?

I got my first camera when I was 16, and shortly thereafter turned the family bathroom into a darkroom (not very popular with the rest of the family however).

What camera do you use?

For most of my projects I use a Leica M or a couple of medium format cameras (which produce larger negatives). But some projects are actually made without any camera at all. For example the prints in my “One Strike” project are photograms and the prints for “I came to dance” are cyanotypes, all unique prints made without a camera .

Do you prefer digital or film?

I used to shoot both with digital and analog cameras. However, I have a real attraction to grain in film and working in the darkroom. In recent times most of my projects have been shot on film and printed by me in the darkroom.

Can I buy a print?

Of course! Please contact me for further information.

Do you travel a lot?

As much as I can. India and Japan are on the list, and a return to the American South West too. I do hop over to European cities as often as I can but my daily hunting ground is London.
